Mesh status at a glance

A plug-in module for RAD-01 Rev2's top port. The screen shows which radios are up, who is in reach and whether anything needs attention; four buttons, a buzzer and status LEDs let operators work the node without a phone.

Designed and built in-house: PCB, display firmware and mechanical fit.

On the screen

Mesh health in one glance.

We built DISP-01 so an operator can read a node’s state without a phone or a laptop. The same idea works on any connected product.

Main screen from our mesh firmware · demo values

How we use it

  • See at a glance which radios are up: LoRa, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and ESP-NOW.
  • Peers and relays in reach, so a node in a dead spot is obvious.
  • Uptime and restarts, so a struggling node stands out.
  • A footer that flips into a warning bar, readable from across the room.

On your IoT product

  • Show your device’s own state: sensor readings, link status, battery and alerts.
  • Use the four buttons for local menus and on-site configuration.
  • An 80 dB buzzer and status LEDs for alarms and siren-style alerts people notice without looking at the screen.
  • Ambient light sensing, for example to adapt brightness indoors and out.

In the IMPR-RAD ecosystem

DISP-01 is designed for the top port of RAD-01 Rev2. It plugs in at any time, and our mesh firmware drives it out of the box.

On your own hardware

The mezzanine uses standard buses, so DISP-01 isn’t locked to our radios. We share the pinout with customers building custom applications on other boards and microcontrollers.
